How can I avoid stuffing my face at family dinners for the holidays?
marissa asked:
Everytime I go I want to be polite and try everything my family makes (if it is meatless, that is) but a lot of the things are very high in fat. How can I be polite and stay on my diet at the same time?

You dodn’t need to try everything, but you can try a lot. GO for the healthy foods first and when you are full, say you are too full to eat anymore. That isn’t rude. Thank everyone for the food afterwards. You can also just take less instead of taking a big heap of one thing. Good luck!

Try drinking a nutritious protien meal replacement beverage before you go. A good one will fill you up.
Then when you are offered food, you will be less tempted to take large portions.
Try sampling each dish instead of thinking in terms of a meal and eat slowly. If you have food on your dish people are less likely to offer more.
