When I play a family on the sims 3 the other families in the neighborhood continue to live their lives. They even have babies and get married when I don’t want them too. How do I stop that from happening? Its really annoying, I don’t care if the procreated sim families do that but not for the families that I create.

So my brother in law lives up North , and the rest of the family lives in Texas . I ran into his ex and she told me she was having thier baby in 3 weeks and that they were married ( which we didn’t know ) she also told us that when she told him about the baby he said it wasn’t his and sent her home .
The family wants to be in the babys life but the father doesn’t , I feel like the family is going to fall apart if we decide to be a part of the babies life . What is the best way to have the baby in our lives without my brother in law disowning us .
