My husband and I just moved in with my best friend and her family, and the task of cooking fell to me because I’m good at it and I like to do it. The problem is that all meals must be prepared in a crock pot, an electric skillet, and the microwave because the gas in the house is turned off. Her family eats huge quantities of food, and they don’t like ethnic foods, which are what I like best to prepare. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
I forgot to mention that they don’t like soup, either.

We have been together for over 10 years, and got married a year ago. I am ready to start a family, and he has stated he wants a family soon too. He isn’t the type to suggest things first, so I will need to be the one to approach the subject. I am worried he is going to think that I want to start now, because my best friend had a baby a few months ago. In all honesty, that didn’t help the itch, but the itch was there far before she was pregnant. We are both professionals (lawyer and a veterniarian). I’d appreciate your advice/insight.
