Lots of social work jobs involve child and family development, and helping families to be more successful.
Community educators often work to educate families of the resources available to them, or for example work with both youth and parents to try to combat things like teen pregnancy, drug use, etc.
They are counselors that work through social services to help families who are at risk of losing their children to the system due to neglect or abuse.
Family therapists work with parents and children to overcome communication barriers, deal with challenges, break ups, drug use, moves, etc.
